Types of Mentor Breast Implants

Mentor MemoryGel breast implants

MENTOR MemoryGel Breast Implants filled with Mentor’s unique formula of cohesive silicone gel. This particular gel gives the breast a smooth, natural look. The texture of the gel creates a soft feel that closely resembles that of natural breast tissue. With six projection options and multiple size options, you have a broad spectrum of choices to customize your implants to suit your wishes. MENTOR MemoryGel Xtra offers additional options for increased breast projection above the nipple. With a 97% satisfaction rate among patients, MENTOR MemoryGel Breast Implants are one of our most popular choices.

Mentor Memory Shape Breast Implants

Mentor MemoryShape Breast Implants are another type of silicone gel-filled implant with a feel similar to that of MemoryGel Breast Implants. What makes MemoryShape Breast Implants unique is the shape. They are teardrop shaped as opposed to round. This means they are thinner at the top, sloping smoothly outwards to their fullest point at the base of the implant, mirroring the contours of a natural breast.

Mentor Saline Breast Implants

Mentor saline implants are filled with a saltwater solution that closely resembles the fluid which we already have inside our bodies. This gives them a slightly firmer feel than gel-filled implants. The implants are empty when they are placed and are filled during surgery, making the size adjustable during surgery. After the implant is filled to the agreed-upon size, adjustments can be made during surgery to ensure optimal symmetry and aesthetics.

Mentor offers the only saline implants available that can be adjusted in size after surgery. With a simple and quick procedure, your implants can be augmented or reduced within six months after surgery.

Which Implants Are Right For You?

A wide range of implant types, sizes, shapes, and projections is available to you. Together with Dr. Casper, you will go over all your options and find the implants best suited to your personal needs and preferences. Dr. Casper is a board-certified surgeon with over thirty years of experience. He is renowned for his expertise and will guide you competently through the process of finding the most suitable implants for you. One of the first choices you will be making is whether to get silicone implants or saline implants.

Silicone Implants

  • With silicone implants, we offer a wider variety of projection options.
  • Gel-filled implants more closely approximate the texture and feel of a natural breast.
  • Gel implants require larger incisions, which form larger scars, although these do heal and fade in time.
  • You must be at least 22 years of age to get silicone implants.

Saline Implants

  • As saline implants are empty when placed, smaller incisions are required, leaving smaller scars.
  • Saline implants are rounder than silicone gel implants.
  • Saline implants are filled with fluid and thus have a firmer, slightly less natural feel than gel implants.
  • Three projection options are available: moderate, moderate plus, and high profile.
  • Saline implants are available to women over the age of 18.
